Another Crazy Adventure with Our Favourite Mum Group

A Hole Lot of Trouble carries on a few weeks after the events of Mother’s of The Claw. Angie has begun working three days a week as an accountant for the city hall and is struggling adjusting to being a working mum.

When a close call at one of the local parks triggers a rant from the mums about their dangerous state and how no matter how many complaints are put forward to city hall, nothing is ever done. Angie decides to look into this matter at work. What she finds begins the mums next crazy adventure.

A Perfect Sequel

Following on from everything in book one, A Hole Lot of Trouble is the perfect sequel. Not only is there the continuation of everything we loved in book one, but a new adventure and deeper insight to the many unique characters.

One of my absolute favourite aspects of this book was how Keira Rose built on the foundational group relationships and we were able to explore more personal and individual relationships this time around. This applies both to the mothers group and Angie’s relationship with her husband.

On top of that, we are also introduced to a whole new set of equally unique characters in A Hole Lot of Trouble. Kiera is truly building out the whole town and the role everyone plays in it.

Beautiful Relationships

The found family that Angie has with the mother group warms my heart. They are true friends who support and encourage each other through all their ups and downs. Yes, they may bring out the crazy in each other, but isn’t that what great friends do?

I adored the part that Greg played in this book. Similarly to the mothers group, he is both supportive and encouraging of Angie and you can feel his love for her through the page. I loved that he was more involved this time around and you can really see how him and Angie are a team. I’d love to see more of his involvement as this series continues, and maybe he even gets himself into a crazy adventure or two.

Motherhood is Hard

There are so many different aspects of being a mother and this series centres around them. A Hole Lot of Trouble sees Angie becoming a working mum and her struggles adjusting to that, other mums in the group are also working mums so she can get help and advice from them. Pregnancy and miscarriages are also discussed, which is refreshing to see that representation instead of hiding it away in misguided shame.

Laugh Out Loud

The humour continues, thank god! I cannot describe how much I love the humour in this series. Not only does in make me genuinely laugh out loud but the comedic aspects are balanced well with more serious topics and situations. Plus, sometime you need to laugh or you’ll cry and Keira definitely captures a lot of different types of humour.

Favourite Quote

“They’re lunatics, but they’re out lunatics.”

Final Thoughts

I cannot rave about this series or Keira Rose enough. I strongly believe that if you’re a mum or just someone who enjoys a lighthearted funny read then you NEED to pick up this series. A Hole Lot of Trouble was the perfect sequel to Mothers of The Claw and as always I’m so excited to see where the series goes from here. I promise you I will not only be reading this entire series but absolutely anything that Keira Rose writes. I have a new auto-buy author.
